Samoan Language Week 2017- Vaiaso o le Gagana Samoa

This week we celebrated Samoan Language Week.
On the 1st June we celebrated Samoa Independence Day and learnt many different facts of how this came to be and the many sacrifices Samoan people had to make.
Here is a video below of Manulua students singing their item and our friends from down the road, Rowandale School who joined us for our celebrations and performed a siva.
Thank you to all those parents who were able to make it and join in on the festivities.

Totara Park 10 Feb

What an awesome day it was on Friday at our annual Totara Park Community Picnic. The weather was beautiful and it made the pool more worthwhile. Bush walks, playground fun, cricket game, volleyball, last card and many more activities were on display as our school of over 600 students spent the day there.

Thank you to all those families who were able to make it and spent the day with us, I hope you enjoyed yourselves just as much as we did.

Getting ready to get on the bus, but we got to make sure we have our sunblock on first- Sunsmart School

Cricket 9 Feb 17

Today was our last session with Nick and Nick from Counties Manukau who were coaching us for Cricket. We had three sessions and we really enjoyed learning some tips on how to play cricket and strategies to win as a team. Below are a few photos of us playing against Room 9- it was a tie for the day.
